Emmerdale’s Isabel Hodgins brands newborn daughter ‘malicious’ in candid parenting confession
EMMERDALE star Isabel Hodgins has branded her newborn daughter “malicious” as she revealed the tot had thrown a spanner in the works when it came to her plan for the day.
Isabel shot to fame in 2006 after making her debut on the ITV soap as Victoria Sugden.
The soap star is currently on maternity leave following the birth of her baby girl Georgie back in February.
Speaking in a new video on social media Isabel made clear to fans that not everyday as a mum is plain sailing.
She said jokingly: “I know not a single person asked but today Georgie and I have an event to go to and I don’t know what it is about babies when you’ve got plans…
“I don’t want to label her but if I had to today I would’ve gone with malicious because it’s like she knew I was washing my hair.
“Oh we’ve got plans have we okay well I’m going to make your life impossible. So I had to meet my friend and we were going to this event.”
Isabel continued: “We had about four throw ups, we had a poonami. We had it all and it’s like she knew and chose violence – if it could go wrong it went wrong and I was frazzled.”
In the TikTok clip, Isabel explained that baby Georgie later had a change of heart and ended up being “good as gold” during the event.
The TV star joked: “I forgive her though she’s cute.”
Fans loved Isabel’s honest insight into mum life and took to the comments to share their thoughts.
One fan penned: “Lol. It’s her way of showing you that she is THE centre of your world for the next 18 years whether you like it or not.”
Another fan wrote: “Bless her it’s true they have an inbuilt sense that you need to have it all running smoothly.”
Meanwhile, a third person said: “She wanted to show people that butter wouldn’t melt.”
Isabel has confirmed she will be back on Emmerdale later this year following her maternity leave.
Her character Victoria exited the village to begin a new life in Portugal following the dramatic storyline in which she accidentally killed her half-brother John and was blackmailed by Joe Tate.
In 2025, Isabel married her partner, teacher Adam Whitehead, in a fairytale ceremony at Castlefield Rooms, Manchester.
