EastEnders confirms fate of two characters after shock cliffhanger in iPlayer release
EastEnders spoilers follow for Tuesday’s episode (2 June), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
EastEnders has confirmed the fate of Jordan Fox, who was the victim of a horrific and unexpected accident this week. Outside the marquee at Ross Marshall and Vicki Fowler’s wedding reception, Ian Beale unknowingly hit Jordan with his car while reversing and distracted by his mum Kathy – and as they drove away, Jordan was left lying unresponsive.
In today’s episode, Chelsea and Josh searched for Jordan, after the young boy ran away from the reception. Josh soon found Jordan round the back and screamed to Chelsea, whose world came crashing down.
As Josh called an ambulance, Peter arrived and helped Chelsea tend to Jordan and confirmed that he was still breathing. Josh hurried back to the marquee and informed Jack and Kim that there’d been an accident.

After a heart-to-heart with Yolande about her blood cancer diagnosis, Denise got a call from the doctor telling her to return to the hospital for treatment – then answered the phone to Jack, who told her about Jordan’s accident.
With Jordan heading to hospital, Jack went into detective mode to help the police establish what had happened and found the ‘reserved for Councillor Beale’ sign where Jordan was found, suggesting that Ian’s vehicle was involved.
Meanwhile, Ian and Kathy returned home, oblivious that anything had happened, and they shared a sweet moment as Kathy told her son how proud she was of him for becoming a councillor again.
Ian answered the door to the police, who had evidence that his car was involved in a collision with a pedestrian. After admitting he had one pint at the wedding, Ian took a breath screening sample and was subsequently arrested for driving over the limit and failing to stop after a road traffic collision.

Ian was taken to the station, while adamant that he had done nothing wrong. He took more breath samples and measured 41 micrograms of alcohol – over the legal limit of 35 micrograms, even though he assumed it was acceptable to drive after one drink.
Under questioning, Ian assured the officer that it was a complete misunderstanding and offered mitigating circumstances. But when he discovered it was Jordan who he hit, the seriousness of his actions began to dawn on him and he requested a solicitor.
Ian tried to appeal to Jack from his prison cell, still believing that the situation has been overblown. But Jack warned him that he would have a lot of enemies in Walford if Jordan doesn’t make a full recovery.
At the hospital, Chelsea and Kim blamed devastated Josh for Jordan’s accident. But the whole family was blindsided when Jack told them that Ian had been arrested for drunk driving.
The doctor then told Chelsea that Jordan had suffered a spinal injury and would need surgery. Will Jordan be okay, and will Ian face consequences for what happened?
