As they did in Season 1, members of the Reagan clan will make timely visits to Boston in Season 2 of the cop drama, but Wahlberg will continue as the only Blue Blood series regular.

“We are huge Blue Bloods fans, and so every opportunity that we get to check in with those characters to remind our audience that that universe is where we live, that those stories are still ongoing in another city, we just aren’t seeing them all the time we sort of [love] that,” Sonnier said. “So, we love when we have the legacy cast pop in just to check in on where they are and also to further their relationship with Danny and Sean and to weigh in on Danny’s growth as a Boston police officer.”
