Inside Alan Halsall’s ‘cursed’ love life as pals reveal fears for Corrie star after string of sad splits
HE’S played Coronation Street’s notoriously unlucky-in-love Tyrone Dobbs for almost three decades.
Alan Halsall joined the soap in 1998 and fans have watched his character navigate on/off relationships with the likes of Fiz Stape, Molly Compton and Maria Connor to name a few.

Unfortunately for the actor, 43, he’s had more than his fair share of real life experiences to draw inspiration from thanks to his own colourful love life.
Just days ago The Sun told how Alan had split from girlfriend Ellie Dolan, 26, after just a year, following public break-ups with ex-wife Lucy-Jo Hudson and Tisha Merry.
Now we’re told those close to the star are growing concerned for him, revealing how he’s finding single life much harder in his forties.
A source said: “We’re all quite worried about him after this latest split with Ellie. He seems really down in the dumps and not himself.

“I think it’s hit him especially hard as he is 43 now, and thought his life would be very different by now. It’s always a struggle finding yourself suddenly single in your 40s when you thought you had found the one.”
The insider added that pals have joked Alan’s love life is “cursed” – especially with the seriously bad timing of his latest break-up.
Last month Lucy-Jo, 42 – who shares daughter Sienna, 12, with Alan – announced her engagement to boyfriend of eight years Lewis Devine.
“It’s especially tough for Alan to now see Lucy-Jo announcing the recent news that she is engaged to her partner Lewis just as he finds himself back on the market,” our source said. “While he and Lucy are civil now, it hasn’t escaped him that she is fully throwing herself into planning her wedding and her socials have been full of it.”
