Honey ‘dead’ in EastEnders as Bea takes grisly revenge that backfires

EastEnders spoilers follow for Tuesday’s (May 12) episode, which can now be streamed on BBC iPlayer. The episode in question will air at 7:30pm.

Honey Mitchell’s (Emma Barton) life hangs in the balance in EastEnders after Bea Pollard (Ronni Ancona) made a move to get revenge on Billy (Perry Fenwick), which backfired dramatically.

Resident schemer Bea, as viewers know, has managed to worm her way into Honey’s life since rocking up in the Square earlier this year and she has proven incredibly difficult to get rid of, much to Billy’s dismay.

With Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) and Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) having seen her for Bea stares sinisterly as Honey reels in an EastEnders comp imagewho she truly is, Bea was hopeful that – out of everyone she’s crossed paths with in Walford – Honey would stick by her side.

But salvaging any sort of friendship with Honey proved difficult after Ian informed the former market inspector that Bea was the one who had committed fraud, taking out a credit card in her name.

Bea attempted to cover her tracks and claimed that she only bought things for other people with the money, desperately wanting Honey to like her.

Honey was left reeling and contemplated what to do for the best, knowing if she reported it to the police that Bea would face prison. But if she didn’t, Bea could do this again to someone else – and Honey would be left with £5,000 in debt to pay.

Billy, meanwhile, was appalled to discover Bea’s treachery and made it clear that he wanted her out of their home for good. Honey reminded him that Bea had nowhere to go but Billy had little sympathy, reiterating how Bea has taken advantage of their good nature.

Bea ultimately agreed to leave the house but, upon doing so, she spotted the ladder that Honey had set up for Billy to do the guttering. Her rage at Billy escalated and thus she tampered with the ladder.

Later, Honey took out her frustration on Billy, telling him he can sleep on the sofa and that she will attempt the guttering instead. But tragedy struck as she fell from the ladder and was left unconscious on the floor below.

Bea witnessed the scene unfold, horrified by what had transpired – or more appropriately what happened as a result of her actions.

Will Honey be okay? And will Bea pay for her crimes?
