‘Fire Country’ Fans Are “So Ready” as the Show Shares Surprise Spinoff Update
It looks like the Fire Country universe is getting a little bigger this fall — and fans are getting a first look at what’s coming.
Back in May 2024, viewers were ecstatic to learn that the CBS drama would expand its airtime with a new spinoff called Sheriff Country. Centered around Sheriff Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin), the series will focus on various crimes occurring in the quaint Northern California town of Edgewater. What’s more, Mickey will interact with the members of Cal Fire and Three Rock, as she is the aunt of Bode Leone (Max Thieriot) and sister of his mom Sharon (Diane Farr).
Given how fans were already introduced to Mickey in an April 2024 Fire Country episode, it’s likely people are wondering if they’ll get to see her again before Sheriff Country airs in the fall of 2025. Well, CBS decided they’d drop a sneak peek at an upcoming installment of Fire Country season 3 … where Mickey will be involved in the episode storyline. Set to air on Friday, April 4, 2025, Entertainment Weekly was the first outlet to share the preview in a series of photos on March 14 on Instagram.
When fans caught wind of Morena reprising her role as Mickey in an upcoming Fire Country episode, they were so excited to see what drama she’ll bring to both the original series and Sheriff Country.
