Recently, soap boss Laura Shaw confirmed that two new characters will be joining both the Sugden and Tate clans. Laura admitted that while “everyone always talks about the Dingles”, she was keen to “build up some of the other families”.

She told Inside Soap: “There’s going to be a couple of arrivals to strengthen both the Tate and Sugden clans!” However, she didn’t share any details about the identities of these new arrivals or their connections to the Tates and Sugdens.
However, fans have already predicted the Sugden family member who will be rocking up to the Dales. On X, viewers reckon Seb White will be making his comeback.
Viewers will know that Seb is the child of Rebecca White (Emily Head) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) born from their passionate fling. The youngster made an exit from the village with his mother Rebecca and her partner Ross Barton (Mike Parr) back in 2018.
Now aged roughly eight, Seb has reportedly been staying with Rebecca’s aunt, with whom he has formed a bond, according to Ross, while his father Robert was behind bars.
Robert has since been released from prison and is back in the village, recently becoming the new owner of Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J. Robb) farm and land.

And in Thursday’s episode (May 14), Moira admitted to husband Cain Dingle (Jefff Hordley) that it was Robert who previoulsy planted the identity documents that got her arrested, leaving Cain fuming out and out for revenge.
And while Robert’s son Seb was last seen in 2019, fans reckon he is the mystery character appearing on screens soon. On X, one person said: “I am soooo hoping the new Sugden is Seb. Some of my favourite Robron scenes are when they are with Seb.”

Another added: “Definitely they need a new storyline and trying to deal with an 8-year-old kid will add a lot to their story.” A third penned: “Hope Seb comes back too, just hope they don’t make him a troublemaker, just a clumsy kid who is a bit naughty and but doesn’t cause trouble intentionally.”
Echoing their thoughts, someone else wrote: “Oh my gosh please please please be Seb!” A fifth declared: “Great that we are getting more Sugdens, hopefully Seb and maybe new ones? Love that too.”
Emmerdale airs Monday to Friday at 8:00pm on ITV1 and ITVX
