Emmerdale death ‘sealed’ for Dr Caitlin Todd as fans ‘uncover’ culprit

Emmerdale fans predict Dr Caitlin Todd will be murdered as she continues to get under the skin of the local villagers

Emmerdale villain Dr Caitlin Todd has embarked on yet another blackmail scheme, but some viewers reckon it could result in her death.

Throughout recent months, ITV audiences have witnessed Caitlin (Caroline Harker) evolve from a demanding senior medic into a calculating and perilous figure.

What originally seemed like rigorous workplace oversight at the hospital quickly developed into a targeted assault on trainee doctor Jacob Sugden (Joe-Warren Plant), encompassing both career-related and personal harassment.

Caitlin has left her position, citing “early retirement” as the reason for her abrupt departure, but is now blaming Jacob for forcing her out of a highly regarded position.

She’s also privy to Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins) secret – that she and Ross Barton (Mike Parr) are baby Leyla’s true parents, not Jacob and Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill).

During Wednesday’s (May 13) visit to the village, Caitlin kept building her relationship with new flatmate Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), much to Charity’s horror, and they ultimately locked lips, reports the Express.

She also hinted to Charity that her world would crumble if her infant’s secret emerged, with Caitlin demanding cash to keep silent. Charity fought back, pointing out that the ex-doctor’s concrete proof of Leyla’s parentage came from pilfering private medical records.

However, Caitlin confessed she has nothing left to lose and proposed that Charity give her a few grand to keep her quiet. Later at the pub, Charity boldly rejected her offer, arguing that people might be more sympathetic towards her when they discover Todd’s bullying of Jacob.

Charity later confronted Caitlin again at her home and agreed to cough up £1000 to ensure her silence. However, the doctor raised the stakes by revealing Vanessa had informed her about Charity’s past as a mother, and now demanded a whopping £10,000 by the following day, framing it as “compensation” from her family after Jacob ended her career.

In light of Caitlin’s ultimatum, some Emmerdale fans are convinced that Charity will resort to murder to prevent her from revealing Leyla’s true parentage.

One Emmerdale viewer speculated on X: “Charity either needs to come clean or bury Todd in the woods, coz that woman will be back for more #Emmerdale.”

Another chimed in: “No peace talks for Charity and Todd – I want WW3 #Emmerdale”, while a third admitted: “Personally, I’d be fine if Charity murdered Dr Todd #emmerdale.”

“Dr Todd may think she has the upper hand, but she doesn’t realise she’s taken on the Dingles #Emmerdale”, one person pointed out, while another suggested: “Easy way to deal with Todd, Charity ‘disappears’ her, and then Jacob can be charged with her murder, given the history. #Emmerdale.”
