‘Little House on the Prairie’: Michael Landon’s Daughter Jennifer Is Now on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’
Little House on the Prairie star Michael Landon‘s daughter, Jennifer Landon, recently made her debut in a new role on Grey’s Anatomy.
Let’s take a closer look at her character, Michael’s other kids, and what he was like as a father.
On Feb. 26, Jennifer—also known for playing Teeter in Yellowstone—appeared in Season 22 of the ABC medical drama series for the first time as Dr. Toni Wright.
Wright, a new attending plastic surgeon at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, attended Harvard Medical School with Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone). Although Amelia thought that Wright hated her, it turned out she had a crush on her instead.
In the March 5 episode of Grey’s Anatomy, the two surgeons hooked up after professing their mutual attraction.
How Many Kids Did Michael Landon Have?
Although many viewers might have recognized Jennifer from Yellowstone, some might not have made the connection to the late Michael Landon, who died in 1991 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Landon played Charles “Pa” Ingalls in LHOTP, which aired for nine seasons from 1974 to 1983.
In addition to Jennifer, Charles was a biological father to five children and three adopted kids. Michael adopted Mark, his first wife Dodie Levy-Fraser‘s biological son. Plus, he and Dodie adopted a son, Josh, together when he was an infant.
Michael also shared five children with his second wife, Marjorie Lynn Noe. He adopted her child, Cheryl, and then welcomed four biological kids—Leslie, Michael Jr., Shawna and Christopher—together.
Finally, he welcomed two kids, Jennifer and Sean, with his third wife, Cindy Landon.
In 2019, Jennifer spoke with Closer Weekly about what her famous dad was like as a parent.
“He was always so present as a father,” she shared. “He’d watch me jump around the pool for an hour straight. I think he genuinely enjoyed it. I felt admired by him—which is an amazing feeling to have as a child.”
She added, of Michael, “He was just the best! That doesn’t mean we had free rein. There was a tremendous amount of respect and discipline that was implemented in our house — but my dad always made things so fun, too.”
