‘A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms’ Star Dexter Sol Ansell Signs With WME

EXCLUSIVE: Dexter Sol Ansell has signed with WME for representation in all areas.

As the young lead of HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Ansell takes on the role of Aegon “Egg” Targaryen. Created by George R. R. Martin and Ira Parker, the prequel series set a century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey), and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.

Before stepping into the world of Westeros, Ansell appeared as young Snow in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes feature film. The 2023 release was based on the Suzanne Collins novel of the same name and directed by Francis Lawrence. Ansell played the younger version of Tom Blyth’s character, young President Snow, also working alongside Rachel Zegler, Peter Dinklage, Hunter Schafer, and Viola Davis, among others.

Additional TV credits include roles in the Sky original seriesDexter Sol Ansell The Midwich Cuckoos and the long-running British series Emmerdale, which served as his acting debut.

Ansell is currently shooting the second season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, with filming set to wrap in June. He will follow that with a role in the upcoming independent feature 500, where he will star alongside Bill Nighy, Maisie Williams, and Roman Griffin Davis.

According to WME, they will strategically build on Ansell’s “rapid rise and versatility, positioning him as one of the industry’s most exciting emerging talents.”
