EastEnders Grant Mitchell issued chilling death threat as debts spiral after punch-up

GRANT Mitchell has found himself at the heart of a fresh punch-up and chilling death threat on his return to EastEnders – with his son’s life hanging in the balance.

The hardman, played by Ross Kemp, made a sensational comeback to the BBC One soap last month.

An emotive storyline saw Grant return for the heartbreaking death of his old pal Nigel Bates.

Though he’s back to his bad boy ways as he attempts to build bridges with son Mark Fowler Jnr – yet has now put his life in grave danger.

Scenes in Wednesday’s EastEnders episode see Mark asking for a loan from uncle Phil Mitchell, as gangster Russell ups his demand.

He owes a whopping £90K sum but Phil offers to lend him £30K to try to buy him time.

After learning of his son’s financial predicament, Grant confronted Russell to try to sort things out.

Yet things went horribly wrong when the gangster reminded him he had slept with his wife – before punching Peggy Mitchell’s son in the face.

Phil burst in and said to Russell: “Listen, I will call you in the morning and straighten everything out’.

Grant interjected: “We ain’t straightening anything out.
