Chrisley Knows Best star Savannah Chrisley says she stands up for her biracial niece Chloe against racism

CHRISLEY Knows Best star Savannah Chrisley has opened up on how she “stands up” for her niece Chloe amid the continued judgment they face in public despite the ongoing Black Lives Matter movement.

Chloe is biracial and lives with her grandparents, Todd and Julie Chrisley.

However, Savannah has revealed that she still sees “judgment from people” in the streets when they go out for a girl’s day, admitting it is “just devastating.”

Savannah said: “To see the judgment from people… We’re in 2020 this should not be happening.

“It’s my duty to stand up for Chloé and for people and all young girls and women and people of color. It’s not enough to say you’re not racist. I mean, we’ve heard that line a zillion times.”

Speaking to People magazine, she said: “If you’re not putting any action behind it, then it means nothing. So, I think that’s what we as a family are trying to do — trying to put action behind it and just learning because you have to take a second to talk to people.”

Chloe’s father is Todd’s son Kyle, but she was raised by her grandparents due to Kyle’s former drug issues and bipolar disorder.

Todd and Julie petitioned the courts to gain custody of Chloe when she was just six-months-old, and they have since raised her like their own.

However, Savannah shared that the family is keen for Chloe “to know both sides of her family and where she comes from.”

The family has also opened up on their social accounts and patriarch Todd’s podcast about the judgments they face for welcoming Chloe into their home, with TOdd hitting back at one troll in June who commented: “I don’t like it marry your own color it really screws up the kids.”
